It's Wicked Wet Here!

It's been raining since I got home from my trip on Thursday. Luckily we don't live too close to the many overflowing rivers in the area, but our yard is very soggy and we are monitoring our basement, which leaked a little bit last fall. Floods are north, west and south of us.

Everybody is tired of being cooped up in the house. Maybe today I'll take Bob outside to jump in the puddles...

We spent six months last year in a construction zone in order to keep our basement from leaking. It was awful but worth it.

I have to look at NH on a map- it looks like you have in your backyard some of what we up here call Canadian Shield. It's sticks out of the ground an hour or so north of where I live. Your yard is beautiful!

It was iffy all weekend here and today is kind of chilly. That's spring for ya!

it is soggy here in Minnesota too. Our basement flooded 6 years ago so we redid our gutters and installed tiling and a sump pump in our basement. For the first time since we installed it, the sump pump started last week and has been pumping regularly since. This is getting old....

I feel your pain. For the first time in my life, I'm actually enjoying the summer heat.

I thought about you and Cranky when I pulled my head out of boxes long enough to notice what was going on in Yankeedom. I'm glad that your biggest worries about this rain is cold, wet, soggy clothes.

And I really enjoyed your post on cars too!
